he does! his english-speaking skills are much less developed than his english writing; he speaks with a very heavy russian accent and tends to mix the languages frequently in conversation. (i’ve tried to think of someone whose voice sounds similar to his, but honestly, all that comes to mind is boris yeltsin.)

no family, he was an orphan - his family abandoned him once they realized his engineering had gone wrong and he’d grow up to be “small and weak”. the family he’d built - his wife and daughter - is dead now.
